Possibility is not an external ontic, but is man himself. The being-which-is-there is possibility as a mode of being. As man moves in the world, so is he. As man loves another in the world, so is he.
Man mistakenly believes he is alive due to his residence in and fellowship with the crowd. The existence of man amongst the crowd is deceptive in the sense that such existence always affords man security and certainty.
Authenticity can not exist without a true self. This true self is the source of all spontaneous and creative energies. Such capacity always ascends from an inner authority and a palpitating inward life.
Exalting the form of man over man himself leads to a pathology of contradiction which causes man to behave as a double-minded hedonist — sick of himself in a body which has been granted long life on earth and eternal life in heaven. A new responsibility must be adhered to as we manage an abundance of time.
What appears is only so because it is observed. The nature of an object is contingent on the approach of the subject. When a slave is groomed it is necessary to teach him how to see.
Altruism has a dualistic nature which is both for the self and against the self. Self-love must cast away altruism and embrace giving unto others in the spirit of magnanimity.
Love of self and philosophy are eternally entwined, for philosophy is the love of wisdom by definition.
Vigilant patience is an essential step towards the manifestation of purpose and the forging of destiny. Furthermore, it is the development of the capacity for resistance against the erosion of the spirit — erosion of the spirit as the installation of vain strivings.
We observe, identify and consume objects of our desire because we believe we desire them. We are not aware that the many trinkets we have accumulated have very little to do with what we truly desire.
Abuse from others, especially authority figures, results in a constellation of trauma which affects our entire being. The strata of complex trauma always involves deception, betrayal, and mendacity.
When one does not know how to act, it is often a symptom of not knowing how to be.
It takes violence to transform a beautiful mind into a binary one. It takes the trauma of adulthood to shatter the dreams of children.
When we move towards Being there is a reciprocal movement that causes us to investigate the Self. The inquiry into Being is essentially an offering of the Self. We make ourselves available to ourselves and to mystery. We reside in mystery as subjects - as lords in the stance of conquerors. We must teach and instruct ourselves to not treat mysteries as problems.
Do we choose to venture into the territory of mystery as heroes, or do we choose to make ourselves unavailable by abandoning fidelity, hope, and love in an effort to turn away from the mystery of ontology? Our global self-conception of modern people as hierarchical organizations of vital and social functions has negatively influenced our willingness to interact with mystery.
We find resistance all around us in our everyday lives. We must approach the development of the self as an imperative in the creation of a regiment of self-care. Do you have the power to say no? Do you have the will to self-actualization?
There is a demand within us to destroy the persona, which is a simulacrum of the Noble Self. Narcissus dies while gazing at a reflection of himself. This is the exaltation of the ego and psyche above the Noble Self. This is death.
Discarded elements of our Being lie dusty and dormant. The refused elements of identity are kin to rejected ashlar eroded by the elements.
The actualization of the slave begins through the curation of objects, which may eventually lead to a service to the self.
