Only the Slave Develops.

Heal Thy Self

body and world are not enclosures of Being.
— David Delt

Man is as he moves. We must not discriminate against the wisdom in somatic psychology. The nervous system is a great revealer of what a man is. The body is not only a dominance hierarchy, but it is an archive. It is the archive of information and history that informs existence, guiding one to a more authentic being.

The nervous system is a great revealer of what a man is.

All objects in the world have an influential role in the being of man, for all objects are demands. Therefore, ecological destruction is always a degeneration of spirit. The spirit of our age urges us forward to a brink. We are progressing towards a state of decadence that renders man as deficient and anemic. The desire to be great has been stifled to the degree that we no longer seek the source of all things, including the self. In the same way, ressentiment causes the priestly class to invent and invert morality in their effort to reign over the crowd. The vast majority of our cultures seek the disease of trauma — we find all states of prosperity to be uncomfortable.

Estrangement with our ecology leads to an estrangement with the body. Perversely, there is great anxiety related to experiencing the body in health because we have been conditioned to only perceive the body in pain and disease. When we abuse the body, it will reassert itself in an effort to correct all pathologies. The residents of post-modernity must contend with the prevalence of neuroses and psychological complexes — all leading to distortions of all noble senses and thought patterns..

All that remains is the misbehavior of a lost generation grappling with their denial of all daemon. The manifestation of man is no longer of greatness but of perverse strivings which lead to destruction. For example, the folly of our generation can be seen in its investments in the creation of artificial intelligence while trying to explain away consciousness. In Education as a Virus I state, “A massive deficiency of nobility prevents even those with the inherent capacity to apprehend truth, vis-à-vis reason, from doing so. Godspeed to the savages who resist all erosion of spirit.”

Sanity is not simply a matter of mind but of the body.
— David Delt

The disease of the body always reminds us of our failure to bypass the history of trauma in our lives. We must reconsider the eco-psychological forces that affect our organism. For example, consuming food as compensation for spiritual disease. Truth can’t simply be apprehended by simply gathering facts — for computation is different from thought. When we combat dualism, we must reconsider the demarcation of body and mind, signal and noise, input and output. The question arises, does the movement of man lead to freedom or bondage?

man is also as he speaks.

Let us look to Narcissus as a warning against apprehending the appearance of movement as actual progress. In Digressions on Narcissism II I posit:

“Narcissus does not behold himself in a mirror, which projects a static reflection — he beholds himself in a pool. Herein lies the danger. The organism interprets the ebb and flow of the pool as flow and change. Narcissus being mesmerized and petrified by a transitory, dynamic reflection of himself contributes to the deadly rigidity that results in his demise.” - David Delt. Digressions on Narcissism II

The hypothesis as follows — are the body and the mind not more identical than previously thought? Intelligence is psycho-somatic. Sanity is self-care. Libido is a will to power and biological energy. The development of the self is the start of hygiene. Sanity is not simply a matter of mind but of the body. To ignore the wisdom of the body is folly. The body is the initial and primary environment within which we navigate time and space.

“To gaze at one’s reflection in a pool is a hyper-stimulant. To see, to gaze at one’s reflection in a pool of the primary source of life — a pool of water — is to die abundantly. To drink of the cup of death by gazing at the cup of life.” - David Delt. Digressions on Narcissism II

The shadow emerges to eliminate all auto-phobic maneuvers and machinations of the ego. Psychological disturbances, dis-ease, and pathology indicate a fear of self. We must all facilitate the emergence and breakthrough of The Second Face. Furthermore, the Freudian topographic model of the psyche and consciousness is a metaphor for the totality of our ontic being, which clears the way for a proper ontology. But we must venture farther than the schematics provided by the Freudian model. “To command the shadow is to create a new body.”

Make no mistake, body and world are not enclosures of Being. Man is as man moves. This is true. Furthermore, man is also as he speaks. Language is the emotive and fundamental expression of either wholeness or trauma. Speak life.
