Only the Slave Develops.

Angel of Light

When Truth presents itself as daemon we cast it out and banish it to the north of Saturn.
— David Delt

When man approaches Truth as an externality the error of rendering the self invisible is always present. This is often a forced error caused by our psychological and spiritual conditioning administered by cultural overlords to remember to forget” the self. Even in societies where man seems to arrogantly strive for all that benefits the self, our preoccupation with the instruments of technology causes our narcissism to be superficial and shallow — id est our abuse of the self and others is laughable as is our love. Furthermore, aloofness and alienation have become unspoken metonyms for interaction and engagement under the halo of diversity. We can not abolish the principle which states that diversity increases tension, thus we mismanage all difference to no ones benefit.

Truth is too often nothing more than what is agreed to be truthful.

We have positioned ourselves to only adhere to that which tickles the ears. When Truth presents itself as daemon we cast it out and banish it to the north of Saturn. Mendacity is often a siren who seduces with pleasant deceptions. In our ecology of disinformation, truth is too often nothing more than what is agreed to be truthful, creating a shared language which is uplifting and optimistic in tone and tenor only. The philosopher cannot alter the nature of Truth in an effort to make it more palatable. Since Truth is often damaging and destructive —one must gird their loins to withstand the barrage of what is right and beautiful. We misuse language when we utilize it to only calm the fears of the profanum vulgus — we choose to be soothsayers who can never see the true light. Ambient light is the only light which has structure — we should be suspicious of those who claim to radiate truth, for all that is radiated must emerge from an occulted source.

The legislation of language is the beginning of establishing what is agreed to be true. Articulating destructive and damaging truths always violates the zeitgeist, social norms, and covert contracts. Here Truth is an eternal irritant, causing the mouths of babes to be silenced and their bodies aborted. This ensures that the voice of prophecy which foretells a proper future can never resonate beyond the fiat of the last of the messengers, enabling the descendants of such luminaries to ensure their control over people, places, things, and ideas. The philosopher is a frustrated resident of societies which are nothing more than a collective of petty lies. All truth which can be honestly apprehended should not be clutched close to the bosom but instead wielded as ax and shield. The lovers of wisdom are divers of deep depths, for Truth is often submerged in a sea of irrelevance.

Reason as an active capacity makes the world apprehensible — for reasonable beings, the world is not merely an other, but exists as an availability. The sovereign disposition of the philosopher is a great tool in grasping all that is available, for it is sovereignty which encompasses the self and all others. Sovereignty always extinguishes narcissism. The utilization of reason always involves the cost of freedom and independence. In freedom, offense and defense must always be in balance, for one must develop and protect the self at all times. It is tempting to consider the ax and shield as most true while forgetting the self as the forger and master of all tools. The Truth should be acted out as riskWe embody the Truth as process, not simply as a conceptual abstraction. Philosophers stand tall in the universe as beings who give structure to all ambient light, causing that which seems to be only a silhouette as that which is most true.

We should be suspicious of those who claim to radiate truth, for all that is radiated must emerge from an occulted source.
